Made in Kolkata, this male tanpura has a nice, full sound and is a very good entry-level instrument. The large gourd and carefully shaped bridge give a deep, resonant drone with a rich jawari that supports voice and instrument alike.
Male tanpuras are larger and suit the lower tonic (Sa) pitches used by most male vocalists.
