A medium shruti box made completely from teak wood. Teak is prized by Indian instrument makers for its stability and warm resonance, and it gives this surpeti a rich, mellow drone and a beautiful finish. Made in Kolkata, we feel it is the equal in tone and sustain to any shruti box on the market.
It has 13 chromatic reeds from C to the C an octave above, so you can choose any note as your Sa and add its fourth or fifth. Ideal for vocalists, kirtan, yoga studios and sound healing practitioners who want a premium instrument.
