Paloma Large Surpeti Shruti Box
An excellent surpeti (sruti box) made by Paloma in Mumbai. Excellent tone and sustain are hallmarks of these instruments.
This surpeti measures 16" by 12" by 2 1/2" and weighs 8 pounds. It is voiced with 13 half steps from C to C an octave up. Consequently, you can get a fourth or a fifth with any tonic you choose.
The newest design features two supports that can slide open to provide more stability when it is sitting on the floor.
It comes with a convenient carry bag.

The Surpeti has a nice, clear tone and feels well made. The keys work smoothly and it is convenient to use during practice. Overall, a useful and reliable shruti box for regular music sessions.
