This instrument adheres to the Gandhar/Pancham (Vilayat Khan) style with very simple decoration, very dark wood, 12 taraf (sympathetic) pegs and 7 swirl design main pegs. It is finished with a simulated mother of pearl inlay. Each taraf string has a unique bridge design. An excellent intermediate instrument for the Imdadkhani (Etawa) player. This Kolkata shop provides instruments of consistent and durable quality. We have been getting sitars from them for the last 15 years, and are very pleased with them.
