This is nice sounding travel sitar made for us in Kolkata.
Unlike most travel sitars this one features a real gourd (partially cut away) as the main resonator. In that regard it is almost like a mini surbahar. Consequently it has a larger sound than most travel sitars, whose bodies are made all of wood. It has machine tuners for the main strings and is strung in the Kharaj/Pancham (Ravi Shankar) style.
It comes with a padded bag.
