It uses a single film sensor that is mounted on the face between the feet of the main bridge. This position captures the balance of the main and sympathetic strings perfectly, and the sound is very natural and feedback resistant. The output jack can be mounted internally by a skilled tech, or externally using clips positioned in the bottom hollow of the gourd. This pickup is passive and a preamp should be used.
